Corporate Tax in the UAE has been a hot topic among entrepreneurs since its introduction. Despite the abundance of articles on the subject, many still find themselves uncertain about the details. This lack of clarity has led to unfortunate situations where businesses have faced significant penalties — a AED 10,000 fine is no small matter.

To address this issue, we've compiled a comprehensive guide that breaks down the essentials of UAE Corporate Tax in clear, straightforward terms. Our goal is to provide you with all the necessary information in one easily digestible article, helping you navigate this complex topic with confidence.

What's the Advertiser Permit?

  • It's a document issued on top of an existing trade license (which is mandatory)
  • It's required for all influencers and creators posting ads, whether paid or unpaid, on social media
  • This applies to social media and even some messaging apps, like WhatsApp
  • May require additional NOCs (No Objection Certificates) from specific authorities like RERA for real estate-related ads and many others

Who needs it and who's exempt?

Creators aged 18+ who promote products or services through social platforms.

Exempt:
  • Individuals promoting their own business on their own accounts
  • Minors (under 18) posting educational, cultural, sports, or awareness content (if age-appropriate)
